Duty of Care
Help us help you
We all have a duty of care, and if your hospital linen is rented, please look after it and return it for cleaning.
Our Healthcare Teams have listened to your feedback, and we are now embarking on a Healthcare Textile Improvement Programme (HTIP) – a brand new initiative aimed at enhancing your patients’ journey. As part of the HTIP, we are working collaboratively with NHS Trusts to reduce the number of missing or damaged items and ensure delivered products are of optimum quality. Doing so will help to maximise service levels, reduce clinical waste, increase product sustainability and assist in creating a healthy circular economy on the path to net zero.
Savings
Cutting down on linen replacement will give us the opportunity to reduce the cost to serve your Trust, and we can reflect savings within our pricing to you.

Sustainability
We have a specific recycling programme to minimise wastage and ensure correct disposal, helping to reduce the amount of linen sent for incineration or discarded before end of life.

Service
Increased availability of linen, as less is being removed from the system without our knowledge.

Social
Taking responsibility for the impact on our Healthcare system through sustainable products and services.

At Elis, we combine 100 years’ experience with the expertise of over 9,000 dedicated colleagues to help hospitals exceed staff and patient expectations in terms of quality, safety and dignity.
Whatever your needs, we’ve got the right textiles for the task in hand, and the safety and wellbeing of all those who come into contact with them is our priority. You can trust in us, so your patients can trust in you.
